Lynn Cunningham
Practice Manager and Cat Groomer
Lynn has had countless pets of her own throughout her life, and she’s been impacted by every single one. For her, working hands-on to better the lives of animals is the only choice that makes sense. Now, Lynn has enjoyed a rewarding career in the veterinary field that has lasted more than 30 years! She’s proud to serve as Kenhaven Animal Hospital’s Practice Manager.

Lynn was only 19 years old when she first started here at the clinic. It was 1989, and all Lynn knew was that she needed work and loved animals—the rest is history. She’s been working here ever since, and has risen through the ranks and worked in all positions, even learning how to groom pets. Lynn specializes in cats, and is known as the resident “cat whisperer!” Her favorite part of her work is knowing that she’s making a real difference in the lives of pets and their families, and she loves that no two days are ever quite the same.

In her spare time, Lynn enjoys boating, jet-skiing, bicycling, and hiking. She has three wonderful children who live in Urbana. (Lynn’s daughter is just as addicted to animals as her mother!) At home, she has two loveable feline companions, Kirra and Eligh.
Dog Groomer
Pets were Susan’s best friends while she was growing up in her hometown of Silver Spring, Maryland. She spent time with everything from cats, dogs, hamsters, and guinea pigs to snakes, spiders, lizards, birds, fish, and much more! Being able to give something back to animals is a dream come true for Susan—that’s why she helps pets look and feel their best by working as a professional groomer.

Susan was only a teenager when she first started her animal-care journey—she worked with puppies at a local pet store and also served as a Kennel Technician right here at Kenhaven Animal Hospital. She worked her way up the ranks at the pet store, eventually becoming Store Manager, and then continued on to manage two other pet shops. When Susan decided that she wanted to take a more hands-on role in the care of pets, she signed up at The Maryland School of Dog Grooming—she knew right away that she’d found her true calling.

After graduating, Susan began working at the school as a Teacher’s Aide and groomer, and also served part-time at a few local pet salons and veterinary hospitals. When she heard that Kenhaven Animal Hospital was looking for a groomer, Susan jumped at the chance to return to the clinic she worked at as a teenager. She joined the hospital team in 1998, and has been serving the pets and animal owners of the area ever since!

When time permits away from work, Susan likes gardening, practicing yoga, attending concerts, and spending quality time with her family and pets. Along with her son and daughter, she shares her home with Ricky the Chihuahua; a cat named Bandit; a pair of rescued ferrets named Sara and Sweetie who Susan adopted after they were dropped at Kenhaven Animal Hospital’s doorstep; a vocal Yellow Nape Amazon parrot named Suzy; and a 60-gallon tank full of fish.
Office Manager
Christin has been a nurturing soul all her life, and always knew that she would end up working with children or animals. As fate would have it, she’s now worked with both! Christin gets to merge her love for helping others with her passion for animal care as a veterinary professional—she’s the Office Manager here at Kenhaven Animal Hospital.

Christin grew up in Montgomery County and used to work with children as an in-home nanny. She first joined the veterinary field in 1997 and has been caring for people’s pets ever since. In 2015, Christin was happy to join the team here at Kenhaven Animal Hospital, and she makes it her mission every day to keep things running like a well-oiled machine as the clinic’s Office Manager. Her favorite part of her work is the one-on-one interactions with the area’s pet owners, and she loves to make people happy by improving the health and well-being of their beloved companions.

Away from work, Christin loves pet-sitting and caring for her young daughter.
